Walls and fences in and of themselves have never been the whole answer. If the aliens believe that they will be home free if they can escape the immediate environs of the border they will keep coming. If they are promptly apprehended and repatriated with the admonition that if they return they will do jail time under Sheriff Joe Arpaio, living in tents, eating bologna sandwiches, and working on the construction of border infrastructure for a couple of years, the fence might begin to be more effective. Without a vigorous internal enforcement program based on work status E-verification with fines and jail time for employers and expeditious repatriation of illegals, no amount of border infrastructure will be effective.

The fence is working where is it up. It is helping to stop drugs and illegal immigraiton. But the problem lies in enforcement of immigration laws against businesses that hire illegal workers and that has been speeded up by ICE. With states enforcing immigration laws we will conquer illegal immigration and bring back legal immigration. Enforcement and a fence is the answer and they work together. If you are here illegally using false or stolen documents, ICE will find you and deport you, with your american born children who cannot be used as anchors. Illegal aliens are getting the message and are leaving on their own and they are not coming at the numbers that use to be. Illegal immigration is bad for this country and for Mexico.
