It is easy to understand why illegal aliens want immigration reform that will permit them to stay and work, what some call amnesty or mass legalization. What is less easy to understand is the largely monolithic support given to this idea by Hispanic citizens who don't realize that this will be another step toward Mexico Norte with all of the ills of the home country. There will be more crime, poverty, joblessness, and corruption as the conditions the illegals fled their homelands to escape are re-created here in a way that will affect adversely the quality of life and standard of living of everyone. One can only conclude that the Hispanic citizens are exceedingly shortsighted or they don't care. They put La Hermandad de la Raza well ahead of the national interest and sovereignty and the rule of law, the foundation of all civilized societies.
